The McCanns Lawyers are Now Going Through the Files, all paid for out of the Maddy Fund...............?

So the PJ AND the British police could not find any leads or ANY evidence the poor little girl had been abducted.

So why is "public" money being spent on the "Private Investigators" that PROMISED Maddy home by last Christmas, and they also stated they "knew" where she was.

Why dont Kate and Gerry try a different company to spend money on "finding" Maddy? One with a little better credibility?

Why didn't Kate and Gerry help the PJ in the first place instead of hampering their investigation, then perhaps going through these files wouldn't be necessary !!

Where does 'Public Money' come into it?

Any money in their fund is from donations made to them.  It certainly does not and never will include anything voluntarily given by me.

what would you do if your child was missing? i know what i would do and that is , grasp at any straw. however flimsy.

Well based on the Police reports they have said it was impossible for there to have been an abduction based on the many inconsistencies from the Mc's and their cronies. So who are they trying to kid? But as long as their reputation is fought for with every power available, they will be happy, regardless as to where the money is coming from but it's not from their own pockets that's for sure. The whole sorry sage is a sickening disgrace and it's about time the British public were made aware.

In case you did not know the fund was set up to find little Maddie by whatever means possible. These files may contain some clues that the Portuguese have missed. Is that not a reason to use the money, which I doubt that you  donated to, to help find a missing child.Its not even public money as only given by kind volunteers. Not a very sensible question. How do you know that the British police have even seen these files as they were sent direct to the McCanns lawyers.?

Anyway it's a total misappropriation of public money.

That child was never abducted in the first place, but I suppose they have to keep the charade going.

Public money?? Did you contribute to the "find Maddie fund"??? I don't think for one minute you did!! So why are you whingeing? It's not your money, and it's got nothing to do with you. I contribute to the fund, and have no qualms with how they spend this money, or who they employ to do so.

The fact that the McCanns have not given in as easilly as the Portugese Police did, fills me with admiration for this couple, who have endured the hatred of the public, both Portugese, and British, and their dedication to finding their daughter is faultless. If the McCanns WERE  as guilty as people say they are, they would have gone and hidden somewhere quietly, but they STILL battle on, even though most of us know there is not much hope of ever seeing Maddie alive.

There's a lot of injustice in the world today, like Barry George being freed, and given the right to claim £1million  in compensation, and the thought that the British taxpayer is being forced to cough up for a £3million funeral for Maggie Thatcher.

The McCanns are NOT costing the British taxpayer a penny, and should be left alone to spend the money of wellwishers, as they seem fit. It's NOT public money, it's money contributed BY the public who so wish to do so, and if the public choose NOT to contribute, then they DON'T!!!!

The Mail? Great - that's a bit like the stupid female reporter in Portugal or the equally incompetent fat police man who ate more than he did his duty! Let the McCanns get on with doing whatever they can to regain their daughter - if you didn't contribute to the fund then why on earth are you making an issue of it - it's not 'public' money it's actually private money - private donations from people who have a damned sight more interest in seeing Madeleine being found than some who want five minutes fame damning her parents!
