Not this year. They also gave up their second best player (Mike Miller) and Kevin Love. They still have a lot of unproven players on their roster. They'll be rebuilding this year.

The Grizzlies didn't keep Kevin Love because they now have Pau Gasol's brother Marc, who is 7'1" and 280 lbs. The word is that Marc is agruably better than Pau was. So they traded for OJ Mayo and Marco Jaric.

If Gasol turns out to be that good, this will have been a good trade. They are a long ways away from the playoffs, you need 50 wins minimum to get in the playoffs in the west.

Well i think they will improve by a couple games but in the western conference i don't see them being higher then Portland which is a better team but yea they be fun to watch Conley mayo, Rudy, Arthur, and the new center Marc gasol who know maybe they do something but the play off unlikely .Because that team is till in rebuilding process in a couple of year they'll be a great team.

They'll be in Seattle before they ever make the playoffs again. I can see them being better than Oklahoma City and that's about it.

It's not a stretch when I say the Grizzlies will never make the playoffs.    The only way they do make playoffs is if somehow everybody in the western conference died and they were the only team left.   Even then I'd have doubts.    They have essentially no front court and their bench players wouldn't even make the D league.    Their FO is horribly cheap (who can blame them,  no people living in the town mean no selling tickets)   and the coaching is abysmal.  

I hate it when big name players like Mayo and g*y go to sorry *** towns like this and have their careers thrown away because the market is so small and they get no national coverage.    They seriously do become lost.    Everybody remember Jason Williams?   He was a beast in sacramento.   Then woops he went to Memphis and people wondered where he was for 3 years.  

I want to see Mayo in a big market after his contract runs up.   He deserves better than that.
