The Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio in the Top-5 of the Power 25 list
The Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio marvellously entered in the Top-5 superstars of the WWE Power 25 list as a number five seeded player. It was a huge upward jump by the Mexican superstar as he was at 13th spot last week.
WWE updated the Power 25 list that was drafted by the Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science for the weekend of July 9 on the basis of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown segments. The Monday Night Raw took place on July 4, while the Friday Night
SmackDown segment was held on July 8. Del Rio appeared in the Monday Night Raw segment last week.
The former number one contender, CM Punk was suspended from the WWE due to misbehaving attitude with the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, the WWE Champion, John Cena and The Rock. The suspension decision was taken by the WWE Chairman McMahon on June 27 after
Monday Night Raw segment.
The next segment featured a new number one contender match that was fought between the Master of 619, Rey Mysterio, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio.
After fifteen minutes of brutal match between trios, The Mexican Aristocrat took the number one contender match victory over Truth and Mysterio. As it was a great match which was having much more worth and this is the reason WWE decided give Del Rio a place
in the Top 5. Del Rio got the title shot of WWE Championship against The Champion, John Cena. Last Week he was at 14th spot that was given to him due to the victory over The World’s Largest Athlete, The Big Show.
R-Truth was on fourth place in last week’s list before that number one contender fight. But due to losing his fight to Del Rio, he lost his Top-5 place and dropped down to seventh spot in current WWE Rankings. The Ultimate Underdog, Rey Mysterio, was also
in the Top-10 superstar’s list as the number ninth seed. He also dropped his Top 10 place and was ranked 12th in the current week’s rankings by the AWAS and WWE.
