Question:

The Minnesota Vikings...?

Don't you think they'd be a more dominant team if they played outdoors? I mean look at GB. They play outdoors and most of the time in November and December the southern teams can only think about how cold it is which is a HUGE advantage. I really think they should use that climate to their advantage. Most cold weather teams are just tougher because of the weather. Eagles, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, as much as I hate to say it the Patriots, Giants, even Cleveland all play great in cold weather and most of the teams they play that come from the south freeze their g'noits off and can't get it together out there. The cold weather teams always seem a lot tougher because football is a cold season sport. What's your opinion?

  1. yeah they would but also Minneapolis usually has a wind chill 20 degrees colder then greenbay does so like last year in the playoffs when it was -25 wid chill in green bay it was -45 in minneapolis

  2. You're right. The Vikings used to play outdoors in the 1970's -it was before my time-but I see what you mean.

Think of Adrian Peterson running outdoors on a frost covered, ice-cold ground...think of that defensive line of Jared Allen and Pat and Kevin Williams on "frozen tundra".

Too many teams are going to domes or those retractable roof stadiums. I'll give Dallas a pass because the weather usually isn't a factor in Texas anyway, but the colder climate teams should all play outdoors.

(Sorry a Cowboys fan keeps answering an Eagles fan's question, but you ask very good questions. Can't we all get along??)

  3. cory...are you serious? The steelers won by a last second field goal....in a preseason game...that is far from getting wooped.

I definetely think the vikings would prevail from a colder environment to play in...depending on who they play in November/December/January......like if they played Green Bay, it wouldn't really have an impact...but if they played a team from florida, then they have a very good advantage, it depends on the schedule....

  4. I agree because cold weather only makes you tougher, anyone can play in warm weather but with the cold weather it can only make you stronger. When Miami comes to New England they usually get their **** freezed in mid air. But the domes are very helpful and it makes more fans want to come on snowy and cold days. But Football is best when the snow is pounding your pads cause thats what football is.. a tough gritty game.

  5. uhmmm..the steelers just whooped them so loook out if u want the to have a good season!

  6. To me it doesn't matter whether you're talking about Minn or Green Bay, The Colts, whatever. I think Football should be played outside, in the weather. I believe the same thing about baseball. I think Weather SHOULD be a factor. Football SHOULD be played in the wind and the mud and the rain and the snow. Teams should have to Game-plan for wind chill. I also am not a fan of turf. Football started in a Pasture in New Brunswick New Jersey in 1869 and it should be played in the elements. Outside.

  7. A couple of years ago, the Colts won the SB and they play in a dome.  I don't think weather has anything to do with how teams play.  I think you need the right chemistry, and play as a team.

The Bills have awful weather starting in November, and they have sucked since Jim Kelly retired.

  8. NO THE VIKINGS WOULD STILL BE HORRIBLE LIKE ALWAYS
