Even the mightiest of wrestlers feel a chill run down their spines when they participate in a brutal h**l in a Cell Match. Wrestling fans witness many different kinds of matches in the arena but they all agree that there is no parallel in brutality when it comes to the h**l in a Cell. A h**l in a Cell match basically includes a demonic steel structure which is 20 feet above the ground floor. The steel steps around the ring floor are included in the steel structure and add to the brutality and destruction during the match.
A h**l in a Cell match has resulted is some serious injuries and has shortened the careers of many wrestlers. Many acclaimed fighters failed to stand on their two feet after participating in this brutal match.
It was in October 1997 when the dead man, The Under Taker fought with the heart break kid, Shawn Michaels in the first ever h**l in a Cell match at Bad Blood, Pay per View. The match gave wrestling fans a taste of what they could expect in this type of match. The Under Taker and Shawn Michaels tasted raw steel as both of them banged each other’s bodies against the boundary walls several times. Ironically the first h**l in a Cell match also provided an ideal opportunity for the big red monster, Kane to debut in WWE with his trademark brutality. Kane broke the steel walls and helped Shawn Michaels win the first ever h**l in a Cell match. However it is the Under Taker who considers the h**l in a Cell his home ground and has participated in many memorable matches.
The Under Taker fought with the hardcore legend, Mankind in a h**l in a Cell match. This match is still remembered by wrestling fans as one of the greatest matches of all time. The Under Taker choke slammed Mankind through the roof of the steel cage on the ring floor to create maximum impact. It was a catastrophic sight as Mankind landed on thumbnails which had been spread around the ring by him. Mankind sustained some serious injuries as he fell from a great height and landed on nails. The Under Taker then choke slammed Mankind on the announcers table. Mankind received some serious injuries during this brutal match as he dislocated his jaw and lost a tooth which was recovered from his nose after the fight. The destruction during this match sends chills down the spines of wrestling fans.
One of the most deadly moments came when 6 of the top wrestlers in WWE including The Rock, Triple H and Kane participated in a 6 man Armageddon h**l in a Cell match. Many wrestling pundits including the WWE Chairman, Mr. Vince McMahon were against this match. They contended that these top wrestlers might receive permanent injuries during the match and may never be able to wrestle again.
However the match took place as scheduled. The Under Taker created history once again during this brutal match when he pushed Rikishi from the top of the demonic steel structure. Rikishi who was nearly the size of a sumo wrestler fell on a pickup truck and passed into the world of unconsciousness.
Even the animal like, Batista passed out in his two appearances in a h**l in a Call match. He fought with Triple H at Vengeance in 2005 and with the dead man, Under Taker at Survivor Series in 2008. Though Batista won both matches he failed to even stand straight after the match.
WWE is known for some of the most brutal wrestling matches but one thing is for sure, no match can surpass the h**l in a Cell match when it comes to destruction and brutality.
