The Most Iconic Images ever?

Lets try and remember the most iconic moments ever ( it includes

glorious moments of sports, ad campaigns, movie stills, music concerts, tech seminars etc)

Here are some that i remember as of now:

*the "hello boys" ad campaign by wonderbra, featuring eva herzigova (i guess

she was introduced in it)

*Kapil dev holding the 1983 world cup (has been impressed unto my mind by

the media)

*Monroe, and that skirt thing

*Steve jobs, taking out the ipod from his jeans pocket, at the ipod launch

conference

*Maradona crying in front of a packed football stadium (while apologizing)

ummm.. none of what you mentioned I'd really classify as "iconic" except Marilyn Monroe and her "skirt thing".  I think what tops all of what you mentioned is the black and white VJ Day photo in Times Sqaure.  Everyone's seen this picture or has been living under a rock.

I would have to say that little Afghan girl that was on the cover of National Geographics back in the 80s.  Those piercing blue eyes will forever be imprinted in my mind.
