The Music Man?

Ok so this summer i'm playing Alma Hix in The Music Man, i got alot of callbacks for Marian( I was shocked, because i'm a alto,big time). Anywho...I was wondering if anyone else has played one of the Pick-a-little ladies...could you give me any advice.

I was kind of upset that i did'nt get Marian cuz everyone thought i would. But i would really like to show the directors that i like my part and i'm gonna be good at it. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me advice on being the best "PAL" lady!!! Thanks a million!!!!!!

i didn't play a PAL, but i was "big mama paroo" (at least that's what my friends and i called her)

in my opinion, you have to sort of put yourself in a bird-like mindset. just imagine a group of teenage girls who have nothing better to do with their time, so they gossip. A LOT.
