The NHL season is almost here. 50 days until October 10th ?

Question

So with the season coming in about 50 days yes I am counting( Sabres first regular season game)

where do you rank all 15 teams in the east and all 15 team in the west how do you think they will all do

rac, how dare you force me to make predictions.  I am not going to do all 30 teams, but I will say I think the big surprises this season will be Chicago, Dallas (no reason just a feeling), San Jose (they will make it further in the playoffs, I think the Sabres may be back in there (just a feeling), and *cross fingers* the Lightning make it to the playoffs so that I can still be excited post season.  

Whoo-Hoo.....50 days!

I'll give ya my top 3 for the West.

West:

1.Detroit Red Wings..the cup for them again unfortanutley, they got Marian Hossa now, who's gonna stop them.

2. Dallas Stars, My favirote team, they gained Sean Avery. They'll make the playoffs, just don't know how far they'll go.

3.San Jose Sharks, they have always been good and I think they'll continue to be good, I'm not sure if they gained or lost anyone, but I know they'll be a solid team overall.

East: My idea on the playoff teams, no certain order.
