I am trying to find information about the NHS and their smoking policies online but I am having trouble finding anything.

What I am looking for exactly is what the NHS is doing currently to prevent the British people from smoking...what their structure is in terms of smoking.

If anyone knows where I can find this information I would appreciate it greatly

  1. Do you mean the BMA or the Government anti smoking policies the NHS takes it lead from both those bodies as well as the local PCT for each area.

  2. The Government has a massive campaign to help people quit.  There is the NHS quit smoking campaign and, they now offer group help to quit.  Most if not all GP surgeries offer these services and they are widely advertised on TV.  In fact, they have an advertising campaign for the quit line running now.

  3. The NHS is providing the free stop smoking program where they offer help to people to quit including meetings with other smokers or a personal nurse who will visit you and help you to quit in a suitable way for yourself and I believe they offer nicotine replacements ....... So I would recommend you look for information on google about NHS stop smoking program

  4. There is an NHS anti-smoking campaign on-going at present.  The campaign is designed to help encourage people to give up smoking.

I joined the NHS anti-smoking campaign just over 12 months ago and was amazed at how swiftly I was able to give up the dreaded cancer sticks - you will find this hard to believe - but by day six I was off the weed forever.

The NHS anti-smoking campaign slogan, which is pumped out daily in TV ads is - "Never give up giving up".

It works.  I gave up with their help after 50 years of sucking smoke into my lungs in an attempt at slo-mo suicide.

No, I'm not a Zealot and believe people should do pretty much as they please.
