  4. NO -- It is a hoax.  A scam to get your money.  You didn't even enter the lottery, how can you win it?

I'm not sure who you would report it to in India, but you could try forwarding the email with complete headers to spam@yahoo.com

  6. Hello,

Unfortunately, it is all a scam to take your hard earned money, and even attempt to gain your personal information, which will lead to identity theft.

I have had success reporting these types of emails through this company.  It is free, and they will explain step by step how to accomplish this.

    Much success,

  7. This is a SCAM. The below links confirm various email scams hitting the internet. There is also an online form for the reporting of such. - (with links for your own country.) This site also gives excellent advice on what steps you can take to achieve a spam free inbox :

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.
