I am 13 years of age and curious about those new visa debit cards where u just load them at the cashier i think. Is it possible for a 13 year old to get his / her own card and use it and load it later when he or she has money? Debit cards = Stuff to buy online without parental consent xD

  1. first of all u need a bank account for that. and secondaly your parents approval  if u have both, u can get it.

  2. Absolutely.  I suggest getting the Bank Freedom prepaid debit card http://www.bankfreedom.com  -  I've done a lot of research on the subject and their card is by far the best.  They have no activation fee and there is no monthly fee if you have your paycheck directly deposited on the card.  You can load them with Green Dot MoneyPaks at a heck of alot of places.  They work just like a credit card and there is no credit check or bank needed.

    Hope this helps.  Thanks!

  3. lol thats funny but yes they will give it to you, and you can load it. be careful that the card has minimal fees and nothing that is billing you each month. everyone is curious but just be sure to be careful and not get caught up online in people that seem friendly but are not. a lot of people prey on young unassuming, or naive children.

  4. Yes you can get one, but you should still let your parents know about it.
