The New WAR...Russia vs Georgia...Who will Win?

Question

I know...sounds easy. Remember the United States was defeated by North Vietnam and was stalemated with the superpower North Korea. Who knows what will happen with Iraq? So my question is real. Georgia is a much smaller state but I am sure they have a national guard already assembled in either Macon or Atlanta and I am sure those boys up in the Smoky Mountains are a force to be reckoned with.

"Modern equipment from USA". Russia has much more competitive weapon to use even in conflict with USA than Georgia (of course not state of USA :-) ), which received old used guns.

About trainings... Russian soldiers are not worse than any Americans. Keep it in mind, even your propaganda tells that Russia is weak and rusty.

Seriously though, if it really comes down to an all out war and Russia really, really wanted to, they could crush Georgia. I, however, do not think that the Russians will have it so easy as people automatically assume. Remember that the Soviet Union sent 2 million troops into Finland in 1939 and got their asses handed to them by about 250,000 Finns. The modern Georgian army is trained and has received a great deal of equipment from the US, so who knows?

Come on don't even think about it, Georgia still has the same obsolete military equipment from the extinct URSS. Rusia has the second worlds powerful and modern aircraft and a vast nuclear arsenal. Vietnam and Iraq are very far geoestrategically talking and it is an important factor in the  US wars defeatings, Georgia its next to Rusia just a step.

ok ok to be serious - Georgia is a small country between Russia and Turkey - former part of the Soviet Union.

The war is about ossetia or how ever the part of gorgia - that wants to leave georgia and join russia is spelled.

As long as russia is intelligent and only protecting ossetia from the invasion from georgia they have no real risk to loose.

when they try to get control about the whole country of georgia they have no real chance to win.

but for the moment - as far as i understand the information about the war they seem to act intelligent and are only protecting ossetia

Florida would be upset indeed if a country that has nothing to do with it gets destroyed by Russia, which is what I think will happen.

If your talking about the State of Georgia, in the US, Russia is not in a war with them.

The Georgia that Russia is at war with was part of the Soviet Union, which is no longer in existence. I doubt that there is a Macon or Atlanta in the ex Russian state of Georgia.
