Will the Giants make the playoffs this year? If you're a hardcore Giants fan, would rather you didn't answer. As well as Giants haters. If you don't hold a grudge against them and they're not your team...I'd like your answers. Just wanna know the general consensus minus those 2 entities.

  1. With Osi out for the season it's gonna be a hard row to hoe, but I think with the maturity they've gained and the poise that Eli has been showing, I think they make the play offs as a Wild Card team. Once you're in, well, it's a whole new season, so who knows what can happen. I don't see them making the Super Bowl again now, but I didn't predict it last year either!

  2. It's kind of hard to say. It is obvious they will not repeat last year's success mainly due to the fact that Michael Strahan retired, they lost starters SS Gibril Wilson, and LB Kawika Mitchell via free agency, traded away Jeremy Shockey (even though they will still successful without him) and the worse thing...they just lost Osi Umenyiora for the entire season.

Eli Manning still is very inconsistent. Yeah he did well in the playoffs but he never has strong regular season stats to back it up.

Anyway, if they were to make the playoffs, it will probably be wildcard.

  3. Honestly, I do not believe with Osi Umiyiura out for the season. They will be lacking with a pass rush. No Strahan and no Uminyura...Also it'll put a lot of pressure on the Giants secondary who lost Wilson to Oakland. I also don't believe they will be able to throw the ball as well. Shockey may not have been there for the playoffs and Super Bowl, but will be exposed over 16 game regular season. Philly & Dallas have better teams than the Giants right now as is!

  4. I'm a Vikings fan and i don't think they will. To many injury and the loss of strahan will cripple them, not to mention their in a strong division.

  5. Well, I think the blind answer here is going to be "yes" you have to remember, it's not going to be the easiest path for them. In their division, Dallas certainly didn't get any worse (and may have an honest to god running game now,) Philly only got better, (providing Dovonan holds together,) and the Skins are always dangerous.

Now, do I personally believe that Eli had his coming out party last year? Eh, maybe. I still think he was only the second best QB in that draft (Roethlisberger being the best,) and he still makes WAAAAY to many mistakes to be counted on constantly.

On the defense, Strahan retired, and Umenyiora out for the season, really gives them no credible pass rush from the outside.

The running game is still suspect, and say what you want about Shockey (and you will have my deepest sympathies if you do so) but he was a player.

That being said, I look for them to make the playoffs as a Wild Card, but probably get bounced early.

  6. Can't always get what you want.... I Live in NY and I'm Proud To Say I'm an ANTI- GIANTS Fan..except when they play Philly, I hope they Split the Season against eachother.

Honestly...Giants Don't have what it takes the repeat, they just don't have the character as a team, never have. And now with Both Osi Out for season and Strahan retired, they most likely won't do better then 9-7, and doubtful for postseason, same with Philly, they haven't wuilt up they defense well enough and they don't have a solid enough group of recivers. Even with A. Samuel from the Pats, Philly won't have enough to get to post season either.
