I think it is a great change, Justice is supposed to be blind, so possibly the people of N.Y. will get some real justice.

David Paterson (D). Interestingly, he is both legally blind and African American. He is the fourth African American to ever be governor of a state and the first legally blind person to ever be. He was the Lieutenant governor prior to the resignation of Eliot Spitzer. Some consider the New York governor post to be the most powerful of all governorships. So, this would make him the second most powerful African American outside of the White House executive cabinet members (e.g., Condoleeza Rice).
