The Nordic games were a multi sport event held first in 1901 and continued till 1926. It was organized by Sweden’s Central Association for the Promotion of Sports. It was a major success though majority of the participants were from Sweden. It was later discontinued due to WW1 and also due to economic constraints due to the war. It was again to be started in 1942 but was cancelled due to WW2. After this Nordic games were never held. But this event became the precursor to a bigger event. Which event was inspired from this?
