The Nuva ring?

I've been taking the Nuva-ring for 3 months and I've been bleeding for 2weeks straight. The doctor that prescribed it to me only told me that you wear it for 3 weeks then take it out for 1 week. I wasnt aware that you can still get pregnant while taking the Nuva-ring. What are the chances that I could be pregnant since I just had a baby 5 mths ago.

Nuva-ring is supposed to protect you as well as the pill, so it's not perfect but it's unlikely that you would get pregnant while using it.  

If you've been using Nuva-ring as directed for 3 months, you should have been protected for the past 2 months.  Before you got on Nuva-ring and during the first month of using it you could have gotten pregnant if you had unprotected s*x.

As for bleeding 2 weeks straight, talk to your doctor.

you can still get pregnant off of any b.c. your just starting out on. your doc should have told you this! just because your bleeding a little longer doesn't mean your pregnant though, your body is probably just adjusting to the new hormones. I was on the ring for a while, I liked it but it irritated me really bad (inside)

Well, since you are just beginning the ring, it does take some time getting used to. Your body is still getting back on track from being pregnant. Keep it in for 3 weeks. Take it out for one week. Put another one in even if you are still bleeding. You will get on track soon. I love the ring! It is just as effective as the pill. I don't think you are pregnant. Good Luck. If you are still worried give the doctor a call, he will make you feel better.

you weren't aware? hello hasn't everyone told you that no contraceptive is a 100% after having a baby you should definitely know that! the chances are slim because of the estrogen in your body but theres  still a chance go to your doctor i doubt your pregnant your bodies adjusting you must be a young mother asking this question!
