The Oakland Athletics may not be out of the ‘Adrian Beltre’ pursuit, yet

The Oakland Athletics have been making strides to bring in quality players to the side and one man in particular happens to be the source of that interest. However, his services come at a cost the club may not be able to bear.
Adrian Beltre is one of the top free agents in the market. After the signings of Jayson Werth and Carl Crawford, Beltre is considered the next best option available in the market. A deal was in the works by the A’s but it fell out due to rumours of disapproval
by the player. However Scott Boras has come out to declare that there were no special reasons for his decision. He went on to say that Beltre was up to playing for any team in the American League and the National League, irrespective of the geographic location.
On the progress of the negotiations, Boras made a comment in the winter meetings, this week.
He said, "We're open to discussions with all teams on Adrian," said Boras. “We’ve been going through a number of negotiations with a number of teams. There have been a lot of willing participants. Certainly, Oakland was a team he said he would be interested
in looking at. We had meetings with their club. That's where we're at now."
That gives any sound follower of the game a reason to think that a possibility exists for Adrian to go over to the West coast. The only concern for many clubs in Major League Baseball may be the lack of financial resources to hire the high priced third baseman.
Adrian may carry a hefty price tag but his valuation comes with the kind of performance he delivers on the field.
"Adrian had a great time in Boston," Scott Boras said. "It was really a situation for him where he really enjoyed his teammates, really liked the city. ... He played there in a way where he got to experience a different brand of baseball, being a West Coast
baseball player his whole life. He got to see that. It puts him in a position to make a very prepared and informed decision about his free agency and what his choices might be as they go forward."
Beltre wants a change in his life and the Oakland Athletics may have the remedy to his need. Only time will tell whether Adrian and the A’s pair up for the coming campaign or not.
