The Olympics (china)

Question

I've just been sitting here wondering why the Olympic Committee chose China as the host for the games.

If you look at the dictatorship of '89 and the killings in Tiananmen Square,nothing has changed.

Surely through all the information available to the committee,they would have known that such atrocities would occur for the games.

Should they be held partly responsible for what is going on over there now,in the run up to the games.

The country has been under the same democratic dictatorship since 1949,so surely they should be wise to the situation out there.

It appears to get the Olympics in your country you must grease alot of palms.  All countries must bid for the games, China just happened to win out.  Lately, the host cities have all lost money on the ventures.  Politics supposedly are not taken into consideration, and if it is, you would figure that China might be more terror proof than the other cities.

I thought and said no when they were been put forward for it over them reasons. I am boycotting it except for my bet in the bookies for when the first drug cheat gets caught. That is my only interest in the whole sham. I want to win my 10,000 euro for my 10 euro bet. After that it is no care they can take the olympic flame and stick it where the sun don't shine, hopefully up the tyrants you know where.

phew, thought I got suspended there, seems they did not like my saying it is a recession when you don't get scammed to do graphic design work for free by people?

China is now in possession of one of the worlds most powerful economies if not the most powerful. However they are aware of how the world views their political system. International diplomacy in respect of the £'s.

The Olympic Committee choose China because China promised to improve its human rights, democracy, censorship ect. which where all blatant lies by China as it clearly has failed to.

It should never have been chosen until China brought their human and animal rights up to standard.

Why was China Chosen? Well they won the bid, just like London has for 2012.
