I posted this earlier, but didn't get any responses...

Hi, I have to write an essay over the optimism of King Arthur throughout the "Once and Future King" I had some ideas floating around but I didn't really get the last part of the book, so I was wondering if any of you guys have read it and knew any ideas or places in the book where he showed he was optimistic.

I've got a good essay going, I just need about 2 more examples so if any you know of, it would be great if you shared them with me! :)

Thanks so much!

  1. The very last page of the book:

"The old King felt refreshed, clear-headed, almost ready to begin again.

"There would be a day - there must be a day - when he would come back to Graymarye with a new Round Table which had no corners, just as the world had none - a table without boundaries between the nations who would sit to feast there.  The hope of making it would lie in culture."

That's the only one that comes to me.  Skim through the last few chapters, particularly where Arthur talks to Gawaine in his tent.  I think you'll find something else there.
