You have a hall of fame qb that came within 1 play of the superbowl who had an all pro season and still has plenty left in the tank and you trade him for a dam draft pick? The Pack fans are gonna be all over Aaron Rodgers and I think the Packers front office made the biggest mistake in their franchise history!

  1. Absolutely not. Favre is old, half the gratuities he got last year were outta pure respect. It was time for him to go, and everyone with common sense knows that. He has officially ruined his own retirement and marred a lot of peoples (outside of Green Bay) admiration of him. Obviously a Hall of Fame quarterback and one of the best that has ever played, but I could care less about him anymore.

  2. I agree. Ted Thompson is an idiot and should be fired.

How often do Hall of Fame QB's come around?

And Aaron Rodgers went 7-20 with one (should've been two)

interceptions against the #2 defense in the packer's practice game.

  3. i'm so pissed off that they didn't take him back.

  4. If you say so.

"Because Favre is the GOD of football."

I'm glad the Packers can move on without the headache.

  5. It certainly wasn't without a lot of drama. I didn't really understand it either, but I think the Pack felt it was time to move on. They've dealt with him doing that kinda c**p for years, and when they offered him a chance to come back, he didn't.

  6. Nope the Packers did a good job getting rid of crybaby Favre.

  7. why is everyone blaming the Packers' management for getting rid of Favre??  They did exactly what he wanted.  He wanted to be traded, he didn't want anything to do with GB, so they traded him.  We didn't trade him to a team he wanted but oh well he's not in control no matter how great he is.

  8. The mistake was pressuring him into retirement in the first place.  As someone who was born and raised in Wisconsin and has had Favre as their quarterback most of my life, the whole thing makes me sick.  I could have lived a hundred years without knowing what a whinner Brett Favre can be.  If he didn't want to retire, he should have raised a stink about being forced to before his teary-eyed press conference.
