  1. Basically The Palestinian government has always refused Independence because they can't get a divided capital or control of the holy places.  So they aren't really open to negotiations unless they are given everything they want and aren't asked to compromise.

  2. A variety of reasons have been given for why the Palestinians have in Abba Eban's words, "never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity." Historian Benny Morris has suggested that the Palestinians have religious, historical, and practical reasons for opposing an agreement with Israel. He says that "that todays generation cannot give up the vision of the greater land of Israel for the Arabs. [This is true because] this is a holy land, Dar al-Islam [the world of Islam]. It was once in the hands of the Muslims, and it is inconceivable [to them] that infidels like us [the Israelis] would receive it." The Palestinians also believe that time is on their side. "They feel that demographics will defeat the Jews in one hundred or two hundred years, just like the Crusaders." The Palestinians also hope the Arabs will acquire nuclear weapons in the future that will allow them to defeat Israel. "Why should they accept a compromise that is perceived by them as unjust today?"30a

“Barak made a proposal that was as forthcoming as anyone in the world could imagine, and Arafat turned it down. If you have a country that's a sliver and you can see three sides of it from a high hotel building, you've got to be careful what you give away and to whom you give it.”

    — U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld

  3. First, there's the fact that the leaders of Palestinian territory tend to, well, stink. Look at what they currently have--Hamas, Fatah, and Israel itself (since Israel controls both Gaza and the West Bank more than its leaders.) Not the best, huh? And it's THEY who make the decisions. The people are too busy trying to survive on an average of $2 a day.

The opinions of these leaders are generally that the state offered is insufficient. This is probably because Palestine prior to the creation of Israel was far greater than any offered state. Given the millions of refugees and the fact that Gaza and the West Bank have some of the highest population density in the world, it's also possible that the offered states really were insufficient to hold all the Palestinians.

Also, there are probably specific issues, such as the current desire for East Jerusalem. Just as the Israelis call their land Holy, the Palestinians call it holy, and some spots that they were not offered are likely sacred to them.

I can't say I agree with the refusal to create independent states, but it's hard for me to blame the Palestinian people. Aside from their clear lack of control, look what their lives are like!

Or maybe people don't believe United Nations and Amnesty International reports--I just read that the Palestinians demolished their own houses. To think I believed there was a limit to how much people could fool themselves.

  4. Our hope was always to have Palestine as a whole and not divided because European Jews are too racist to accept to share a government with Palestinians.

The PLO charter calls for the sharing of the Palestine government with Jews and any other Palestinian citizen.

But even after we decided to settle for 20% of Palestine the best offer Israel can make is to have complete control of our airspace, borders and sea coast as if we were a bunch of rabid dogs in need to be restraint for the rest of our history.

That's unnacceptable so we now need to upgrade our military and weapons to make sure Israelis never live in peace until they come to their senses and apply all international conventions relevant to our case.

    Thank you.

  5. If you read for hours and really look inside each agreement you will find out as all leaders in the West understand, that each agreement was in the benefit of Israel and the Palestinians always lost, but they were not stupid because in the end they did not fall for the games. The UN and all the world accepted that the Palestinians rejected those defective and selfish offers.

  6. My answer is there is no such thing as a palestinian, before 48 they were syrian or egyptian after 48 they were jordanian or egyptian, after 67 they were palestinian.Their entire national identity is based on hatred and lies Id rather trust Mark Twain

"..... A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds... a silent mournful expanse.... a desolation.... we never saw a human being on the whole route.... hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country."

  7. Still this does not give Israel the right to take a land that does not belong to them by force.

  8. What was the offer?

  9. Because their fellow Arab governments keep using the Palestinians as political pawns to fan anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment across the Muslim world.

  10. Hello the s,

Because deep in their hearts, they know that they actually don't belong here.  That is why they constantly show the world YouTube videos of their demolished villages, which they have demolished and filmed themselves.  That is why they choose to name themselves after Greek invaders.  It is collective consciousness and it is a cry for self-destruction.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Miche ; })
