The Pelaw Grange course came up with astonishing results in the Grade A 435M Flat
The Pelaw Grange race track came up with strange results in the 17th September meeting. Most of the races, that confirmed their favourites before the competition started, sadly got vanquished by those contenders from whom expectations were not high at all.
The meeting started off with the A9 435M Flat. Covering the 435 meters distance, the 6/4 ideal, Luttons Carla sadly got defeated by J Brass’s Jinksy Minxy, and managed to finish second for trainer J Windrass.
The trap 4 racer, Luttons Carla, despite having a clear run, unfortunately could not cope up with her contender, losing the purse of £33 for her trainer.
At 7:47, the Grade A8 race, covering 435 meters, proclaimed J Brass’s Pole Dancer the purse winner.
The brindle b***h was not the favourite of the show, but she made her trainer sing praises for her as she defeated H Burton’s Wowow.
The fawn dog was in the race as a 2/1 favourite and being the only dog in the race, everyone was viewing the picture of his victory, but tragically he finished last.
The third show of the meeting was a Grade A7 race that made Velcro Bob the star of the show.
He unexpectedly showed an amazing performance and gave a hit against trainer H Burton's Victory Shaw who was the most favourite in the race.
The next A7 435M Flat started at 8:19 PM.
This race came up with expected results, as the hound decided to be the ideal of the race, 4/6 favourite, luckily finished first.
Toureen Cross, for trainer K Kennedy, won the purse worth £33 in the A7 435M Flat.
The fifth race of the meeting was a Grade A4 race in which P Simpson’s Meadowcote Lark, being a 3/1 favourite, gave a hit and won the prize money.
Though the 6/4 favourite of the race, Highview Emma, was expected to win, the brindle b***h gradually lost her pace and was left behind, which made her finish fifth.
At 8:51PM, the meeting proclaimed Harthill Blue the winner of the race.
The blue b***h, fortunately being one of the favourites among the three hounds, made her trainer M Harrison proud.
The 5/2 favourite had a very swift chase and won the purse worth £38.
The last five races out of six had a similar outcome.
The victors of the races were all those hounds that were not the most ideal ones.
The second last race of the show declared Solamblackie, the 6/4 favourite, as the winner for trainer R Thompson.
