Come on don't give me that Fleury and Malkin don't get enough credit ****. Malkin was being talked about and praised all the time when Crosby was out and even when Crosby came back. And Fleury never got any credit before because he never proved himself, now however thats different. Everybody who paid attention to the Cups finals knows that he was the main reason why the Pens didn't get beat in 5 and a major reason why the Pens were as successful as they were in the playoffs. And who cares if the Red Wings have won 11 Cups. The Canadiens have won what 24, does that mean they don't deserve another Cup if they earn it? h**l you should be happy that your team has won 2 Cups and aren't like the BJs who haven't even made the playoffs yet and tbqh won't for a while.

I thought Pitt really showed they belonged there with that OT win in game 5.

Same two teams in the Cup next year, with a different result.

i wanted the penguins to win but a part of me knew the red wings would win the cup because they have way more experience..but the pens will win the cup within the next 5 years maybe sooner.

The Wings they dominated the series it was like men against boys.Pens were stronger on the body but wings got some physical play of themself.

Detroit.

1. The Penguins had no adversity up to that point.  After losing the first, Pittsburgh didn't know what to do and were dominated the next game, relying on a home crowd to give them a win in game 3.

2. Lack of leadership in Pittsburgh.  Crosby in my opinion did a terrible job of getting his team to get into the series.  In game 4 after losing Crosby started yammering to Zetterberg, an unnecessary and uncalled for act.

3. Overall talent.  Detroit doesn't have the great talent that Malkin and Crosby have, but all 4 lines do something.  Samuelson was able to score twice in game 1, guys like Hudler and Cleary could be a force, and the second line had some real good scorers.

4. Defense.  Detroit had Lidstrom, Rafalslki, Kronwall, Stuart.  Pittsburgh's only two big guns were Orpik and Gonchar.

5. Gameplay: Detroit outshot the Penguins, outchanced the Penguins, and did a great job of shutting the Penguins down.  In game 5, Pittsburgh had to rely on Fluery to keep the game alive and a gift of a penalty from Hudler.  Without that, the Penguins had very little chance to creat offense.  (Their last 4 goals of the series were on the man advantage, 5-4 or 6-5)

6. Two way players.  Zetterberg and Datsyuk, two nominees for the Selke, and Lidstrom, an offensive machine who was also nominated for the Norris.  Pittsburgh only had that in Crosby, who did not do well in keeping Detroit's offense from creating chances.

i expected/wanted the Penguins to win. Detroit was/is experienced and has won like a gazillion stanley cups but i think it was our turn to win. Everybody thinks oh Sidney Crosby is the only good thing of that team and they are way off. People don't give Fleury and Malkin and everybody else enough credit.

Red Wings because of a few reasons. They have alot more experience. They had a better regular season record which means 4 home games instead of 3. I think the West is better than the east so the red wings had to beat tougher teams to get to the Cup. I wanted the Penguins to win but i didnt expect them to.

i reallly wanted the pens to win. and when they started their major comebacks, i gained a lot of faith in them... that last game, and last 0.5 of a second in the 3rd period was so crazy! i seriously thought they scored with less than a second to go! ugh maybe next year!
