Read it in an hour last night. I missed that book so much since I was a kid, and I'm glad that I can fully understand it now, all its lessons about learning. And I can now really appreciate the hilarious puns and wordplay.

Seems a shame that nobody reads it anymore.

I guess it just didn't have enough vampire s*x to cut it these days.

  1. It's an absolute classic.  A nice tale well told.

    And vampire s*x is over-rated.

    (err, so I've heard)

    If you want a truly different vampiric tale, without a sparkle or a tuxedo in sight, try "The Stress of Her Regard" by Tim Powers.

    But you've got to have a mind that can encompass the different, and can enjoy rich writing.
