Why do investors and tourists are shying away from the Pilippines?

Quite right.  I don't know this version of the Philippines you're talking about.

The only parallel Philippines of existence that I know of is that which is split by the force fields of naiads, nymphs, enchantresses and elementals.

I daresay Investors and tourist would flock the country more had they known of this parallel world.  Not to say scientists and mysticists from all over the world.

The biggest killer of foreign investment is graft and corruption..... beyond that the laws here are not foreign venture capital friendly..... and the legal system here is in large part anti-foreign

After 400 years of subjugation.....Filipinos are not anxious to have foreigners OWN part of the Philippines.... Even foreigners who marry filipinos / filipinas can not own property.....  The entire system is anti-foreigner / anti-foreign investment..... the bulk of the nations investment capital is controlled by a few families..... the Philippines is their private fiefdom and they do not want outsiders coming in and changing the balance of power

Why do tourist stay away?..... Primarily because they know little about the Philippines and are scared by what they do know..... When I told my family I was coming to the Philippines they thought I was suicidal...... The island of Jamaca has a HUGE public relations campaign to attract American tourists to come and vist.....leave their money...... the Philippines.....with much more to offer.....has no American public relations campaign......ergo nobody comes here

investor stay away because of bad economy..... but i dont think tourists stay away... u wont regret going there if u like beautiful places

Investors are still coming. The 4th largest shipyard in the world is now in the Philippines.
