Regardless of who will be the next president, good or bad, he or she is not the reason why the way things will be. Congress (Senate/House) has direct conrol by writing bills to make postive changes, not the president. The president either pass or veto the bill. The next time you want to point figures, take a look at our CONGRESS. Democrats and Republicans will disagree to disagree, always complaining about something and nothing ever gets done. Read what your Congressman or Senator has done, what he/she voted for, what issues were adressed by going to their home page. http://thomas.loc.gov/links/

  1. What you say IS true, but you fail to mention that the president ALSO implements policys of his own as well! Especially when it comes to economic decisions!

Furthermore it is the RIGHT of every American to complain about the government, it is guaranteed by the bill of rights!

You know, that little "freedom of speech" thingy!

The president is just as much to blame for things as any senator or congressman, just as the people are, for not doing anything about it!

  2. Yes you are right but the fact remains that dems keep saying they are for the working man in this country and they are the ones that flushed all the jobs away and guess what, they are still saying they are for the little guy.

  3. Now with Hillary gone, it will be up to Obama to distinguish himself from McCain.

Otherwise Obama is just another warmonger. Obama is still my favorite though.

I just hope the next president will reverse the most unpopular Bush policies like torture, and giving tax breaks to the rich. The war may not stop, but we should still keep our constitution.

  4. You are correct, sir. It's nice to know that there are some intelligent, objective people in this world who are not so obsessed with hate that they can see the truth. Bravo!

  5. Of course this is true, however the president has the bully pulpit, the ability to steer things in the direction he wants and signals to his party how much they should work with the opposition.  No one group is responsible, but the president always gets the credit or the blame.

  6. Good explanation - couldn't have said it better myself.  Thanks

  7. True.  You need go no farther for the cause of the current energy crunch than to look at Congress' attitude toward oil drilling in the US.  The shortage is costing us a billion dollars a day -- but no caribou in the ANWR need look at an oil well.  Isn't that nice?
