Question:

The Queen's DNA?

In theory, does the Queen have the 'blood' or DNA of previous UK monarchs dating back to William I?

If so, I can understand why the system is hereditary - Its kind of promoting the fact that she has the same blood as great monarchs like Elizabeth I, Saint Edward etc. But then she must have the same blood as bad monarchs such as Bloody Mary, King John etc.

  1. She isn't related to any of the FitzRoy family- so she is considered to be "chosen by God". Fitzroy or FitzRoy is an Anglo-Norman name originally meaning "son of the king" - it usually refers to a b*****d son of the king, or a descendant thereof.

I'm sure that there must be a gaping hole somewhere, but for the time being she is considered "blue" blood per se and does, or at least in theory, share the same blood as William I and her other ancestors.

  2. yes she would have the same dna going back before 1066

a bad king is a moral judgement many would say the bloody mark and john had to do what they had to do at the time

  3. Well, assuming no one was illegitimate.

Hmmm.  One thousand years of royalty.  I think, no matter how you slice it, there's going to be a gap somewhere.

  4. In theory, at least, she does.  However, she has the MIROCHONDRIAL  DNA of the late Queen Mum and of her maternal grandmother and on back--which will be passed on only by Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Phillips.

  5. No as the throne hasn't always passed from father/mother to son/daughter the present queen is a n**i whose ancestors came from germany

  6. well, maybe she does, she would have to have.
