  1. I find it hard to believe that someone might administer something as potentially dangerous as potassium chloride on the advice of a contributor to this site.

    Nevertheless the information you provide seems insufficient to answer the question as KCl is normally quoted in millimoles and KCL 1000 has no units.

    I would not recommend giving more than 10 mmoles/hour so if it were 1000 mmoles over 12 hours then it would be too fast. In addition, you need to know what the diluent is to be (normal saline, dextrose?)

    Check it out with the RMO or similar
