Why hasn't anyone mentioned the Fred Thompson comment on Obama and his tax plan.It was brilliant.I noticed it was disregarded quickly by the media coverage and no one on here has talked about it.The classic line of " he only wants to raise taxes on business and as long as you don't buy any products, food or fuel, you have nothing to worry about.I also liked the he is only going to take the taxes out of the other side of the bucket, not your side.Great stuff, will totally confuse the libs.

  1. It was the same c**p I heard from Bush and other for the past 4 years.

It has been covered...as much as DNC

  2. The speech by Fred Thompson overall was the best speech I have heard in this entire election. It was fantastic, he hit all the points. I hope you will go back and listen to it, you will agree it is a winner. His speech energized me and I believe it will energize the base. It was fantastic, thank you Mr. Thompson thank you.

  3. Because that would have been positive reporting.  CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC would never do that for Republicans.  Never.

Wolfe Blitzer, Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews are so disgusting with their slanted, biased, snarky reporting they need to be booted from the airwaves.  The filthy names I could come up with for all of them are not adequate as to how I feel about them.

  4. maybe because it was sooo boring..yeah just like mccain is going to help out the poor and be someone knight and shining armor guess again

  5. Obama supporters dont want to hear that

They like the fairy tale that he isnt going to raise taxes

Anyone that believes that load of c**p should come take a look at this bridge I have for sale.

" no one cares about RNC"

The DNC was filled with children and celebrities

The RNC was loaded with Military vets

The people that matter care about the RNC

  6. Oh yeah, what this country needs is more tired old platitudes about drinking out of the other side of the bucket.

Under republicans, many people cant even afford a bucket to drink out of.

  7. Hopefully, lots of democrats heard it, slapped there heads and said "doh!"

  8. I heard the speech on the radio tonight.  So I don't know what you mean by lack of coverage.

I did find his comment about taxes to be kind of cute.  But I'm puzzled by this line of reasoning.  The idea is that any tax increase hurts us all equally.  And conversely, any tax reduction helps us all equally.

But if that's the case, why does everyone -- on both sides of the aisle -- argue endlessly about *who* should get the tax breaks?  Why does McCain, for example, fret about Obama's plan to cut taxes for the middle class?  In the end, everybody benefits from this, since it's the same bucket, right?  Similarly, why should we care if the income tax is flat, or progressive, or regressive?  Or, why not cut taxes just for people with red hair?  The redheads will buy more, business will thrive, and all the brunettes will get a raise.

  9. I guess it wasn't that interesting for the media,,,ZZZZZZZZZZZ

  10. LOL, male... check.  White.... check.  White hair... check.   Old.... hmmmm... have you had work done?

  11. The news media these days are liberal besides fox news which gives both sides, must be why there ratings destroy all other news networks. The liberal media wont show anything republican.

Here is a great video about Fred Thompson talking about Obama....

  12. No one cares about the RNC--it was boring and lame--let alone what Fred Thompson has to say; he seems to like to hear himself speak.

  13. That was the line of the night.

  14. Was anyone really shocked when the "reporters" (I'm using that term loosely, here) fell all over themselves after every speech during the DNC?  I mean, get a room, people, it's embarrassing.  Can we coin a new term?  How about Orgama?  Orbama?  Obagasm?  Those don't really work as well as Gorebasm.

Come on, they were all thrilled that Gustav decided to make landfall right at the beginning of the RNC, because it was a great excuse for them to be far away, covering something else.

These people are so transparent.  It's insulting that they truly believe we don't see them for what they are.

  15. Isn't the GOP still trying to restore the power for the people in the gulf coast. while the Obama attack dogs are running article after article about Bristol, a 17 year old girl. Can't Obama pick on some one his own age or is he afraid that he would lose.

  16. Sorry but that is boring and I can see no reason for the media to go for it.  The problem with classic lines is if one is old enough to be a classic they are just old jokes that have lost their kick.

I can hardly wait for John McCain's speech since he uses the same writer who wrote for Bush.  Should be familiar if nothing else.

  17. It takes a hammer...they miss a LOT.

  18. I've never been a big Thompson fan, but his speech was outstanding.  Where was this guy during the primaries?  He had numerous outstanding lines and I couldn't believe how dramatically he described McCain's POW experience.  That is much better than having McCain have to talk about it himself.

I watched all of the Dem convention and I thought Hillary's, Bill's, and Obama's speeches were all excellent.  It's too bad the Dems on here can't say anything good about Thompson's speech.  I guess it was too rational for them.

  19. The libs won't get it, they only get their mantra from the corrupt liberal news.  The liberal news only supports Unionizing Obama, (notice how all unions want obama in office.

When Obama the "unionizer" brings his Chicago mob politics to Washington, Manufacturing, small business and all the tech companies will be saving heaps by leaving America. That's why we have inflation and loss of jobs. Unions are not needed anymore because we have laws in place. But the Unions can't get a cut of a corporation like they can government money or by having unionizer Obama pass the Employee Free Choice Act so they can unionize Walmart and other business out from under them. Walmart has already said it will close doors if this happens. So how does that work for America I ask, we pay higher prices and thousands of jobs are gone too.

  20. same (*&^, different day. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

wah, wah, wah.....you republicans are always whining!

  21. The network coverage was a joke.

My trusty remote helped me check it out.

The majors cut off the speeches from Thompson and Lieberman so viewers were forced to hear more useless yakedety-yak from the Obamedia telling viewers what was wrong with the speeches that they didn't allow them to hear.

Why can't they let people decide for themselves?

Are they scared that we might actually do something they don't approve of?

That Obama might lose if we hear the unvarnished truth?

No wonder nobody listens to them.

I finally switched to FOX which played the entire speeches.

  22. Actually Thompson's only comment on taxes was more of the same. Anyone who has actually listened to what Obama proposed is no longer on it. They see it as Republican fear tactics.

Thompson did a good speech, but it was just a longer version of the ads... nothing new for the media to jump on. To be perfectly honest, Thompson is a has been in the political arena and the media coverage of his talking points reflect that.

  23. I guess the reporters all fell asleep.

    It was so d**n boring!
