I am going to guess he was a Biologist.  I don't know .  but I do know a little about Rams.  I have the balloon rams they are genetic defect fish but I love them.  Golden, Bolivian, German blue are all types of Rams.  The German Blue being the most colourful one and one of the hardest to keep.

    He was just some guy that collected fish and brought them to hobbyist.
