The Red Ring of Death?

Question

Last night my Xbox 360 froze while I was playing. i quickly turned it off and then restarted it, but a red ring flashed instead of a green... indicating my Xbox must have contracted the infamous Red Ring of Death.

Is there any way to get rid of it... without me paying money?

What are my options?

I have a friend that has Xbox 360 and he got his fixed free because he had his under warranty !

As long at it is under warranty Microsoft will fix it free of charge.

if its a full ring then its ok just unplug everything and restart

if its just three lights then its red light, then u have to ship it in

all the retards called the wrong thing red ring and people are shipping their 360s in and all they have to do is restart it

I got the red ring of death It scared the **** out of me.

But when i started the xbox up 2 days later it worked again and i thaught the ring was just a micrsoft scam.

its been fine ever since have you left it off for a few days after that you might have to take it in to ge fixed

if its within warranty they will fix it for free

They are covered for three years, use to just be one, but microsoft upped it to three.

Heres the best advice, ring them up - go onto Microsoft xbox 360 help site for the number, they give u UPS number, you call them, they come pick it up, and in 2-3 weeks u have a refurbished 360 unit back.

I did this just last night, only took forever!
