The Red Wings threw the game last night for the betterment of the NHL?

Think about it:

The Red Wings are now in position to win the Stanley Cup at home instead of on the road.

The NHL gains some press because the Golden Boy scored twice last night giving fans something to look foward to in the future.

The Ratings for game 4 will almost surely go up now since the series looks like a series not a defensive shutdown.

I smell conspiracy.

Then again I am a firm believer that the Titanic was sank due to global warming. That iceberg probably wouldn't have been there had the increased Co2 releasal from the heavy industry production in England and America during the time. Time to go, they have almost caught up with me.

  1. Looks like they may have laid a Penguin egg (loss, although not shut out) the difference here is no team tries to lose so they can win the deciding game at home obviously, unless your good enough like Detroit!  JK. I mean after all that last night, falling behind  2-0 on the road and coming back the way they did, Pitt has more to do to stop the Wings from taking the series out of the collective little hands.

  2. Brilliant!!

Maybe our government(9/11) and Neil Armstrong(Fake moon landing) and the CIA (Kennedy assassination) had something to do with it.

"you"-It was Mess on the grassy knoll.I saw a pic.Geez did that guy ever have hair?

  3. I smell r****d........Even though i feel the Wings will continue to overpower the Penn's your statement is pure malarkey. No team would blow a game.Ever...LOL!!!! But if that makes you fell better....Tooshay!!!!

The Titanic was sunk by a r****d too.

    Run Forest run!!!!

  4. No conspiracy... they just got outplayed...

the refs actually did a decent job...although i thought they missed a couple obvious calls...

  5. You'll not speak ill of Sydney (PBUH)!!!

  6. Uh-oh, one loss and these Wings fans get delusional. Stay away from any tall buildings Saturday night.

  7. Plus, you make more money if you get to play another at home ice, especially if that's to be the final game of the Stanley Cup Finals.

  8. I read a spolier that in Game 4 Lemiuex will re-unretirefor 3 assists after the Pens get down by two!

  9. Of course.

PS: The iceberg just got lucky because it was a female iceberg & ran out of it's PMS medicine & just had to take it out on something.

PSS: The ice in Pittsburgh is also female & sufferring from PMS. That's why so many Red Wings got smacked around last night.

  10. You've got it backwards.  The Penguins threw the first two games to make the Red Wings look even more invincible so that their comeback will be all the more impressive.

    Numbskull.

  11. If this is all you have to base your "conspiracy" on, then it is pretty lame. Based on that logic (or lack thereof), then every 5 game series in the history of sports was rigged. If you believe that, you may as well stop watching and stick to "reality" tv or something.

  12. NO Because they we're trying their Best But The one Person who shown up with Sidney Crosby They weren't careful so the Wings lost.

  13. Yes and on the save Osgood went Back and to the left.

  14. no they lost  because it was really Kwame Kilpatrick in goal he is trying to sneak out of the country and he thought Pittsburg was in Canada

  15. since you're being serious, ...

yes, after Babcock cut a deal w/ the martians to abduct Malkin and replace him w/ a clone, the remainder of his plan is falling into place. after all, the wings are great actors (see Therrien's comments) and definitely won Oscars for their portrayal of a team that was fighting to win up until the end.

little does Pittsburgh know that they are putty in Babcock's hands.

hey wait, are you Bettman? did Colin Campbell give you permission to be online again? what was Messier saying to you last night? was he the guy on the "grassy knoll"?

  16. I bet brooms are selling cheap in Mo-town today!

Nah, they didn't throw the game.  They got outplayed by a superior team.

Get used to seeing it too....there's more where that came from.

  17. I truly believe in the whole plan that Babcock is behind it all.  There is more to him then sitting on the bench, chomping gum, and yelling on occasion...he's sneaky.

But in all seriousness...even though I'm a transplanted Red Wings fan in the South, I know for a fact the Red Wings wouldn't throw a game.  They wanted to sweep this series...or so the players say.  Take the finals with the Hurricanes, before Game 5 the players were complaining about how they wanted to sweep the Canes.  A lot of that roster from then is still on the team, and still has that drive.  They wanted to sweep.

And common sense wise...who in heck would want to freakin throw a game?  You are not a true athlete or competitor if you have the desire to throw a game.  Wasn't there some World Series a long time ago where the players threw the series and got banned from baseball?  Or maybe that was just "Field of Dreams" messing with my head.

  18. Are you joking?

    - If not, at least it gave me a laugh. LOL!

Do you also put foil around your head so the government can't read your mind?

  19. I agree, the Wings did not throw it last night they lost plan and simple, I am a good sport, I am willing to say that The Pens were better last night, I have nothing but respect for that team and I am a Hardcore till the end Red Wings fan. If we don't want it to happen again we need to play better in Game 4 or else

  20. I agree with the first user.

  21. I wouldn't go that far but i bet bettman spooged a little when crosby scored his second goal.
