The Reds or Fulham?

Liverpool have been having ups and downs this season in the English Premier League with alternating wins and losses, and are steadily slipping off the pace in the hunt to secure European football for next season after a poor performance last season.

Playing in the Europa League is already a shame for the club since they are generally considered to be one of the top teams from EPL, and not playing in either one of the two competitions would put the club under a lot of pressure.

Anfield needs to see its glory come back and Liverpool need to start performing as it is expected of them. Thankfully for the Reds, this season their record at home, Anfield, has been much better than last season, as they have only lost one league game. After
the unexpected loss at the hands of Blackpool, Liverpool have managed to win five games and draw one, in all competitions which were hosted at their home field.

Liverpool will hopefully get the boost they need with the return of Fernando Torres. He was badly missed by fans and teammates alike during their fixture with Utrecht in the Europa League, which ended in a draw. There is a speculation that Liverpool Skipper,
Steven Gerrard might be fit to play for the upcoming match against Fulham, this would give them yet another hope and an extra push in the upcoming fixture.

Lucky for the Reds, Fulham haven’t had much of luck during their away fixtures, with a winless stretch of about 16
months. The team is known to be weak in their away matches. Their travel sickness has caused them to sit on level points with Wigan Athletic at the 18th place. They really need to get their act together or else there is a strong speculation
that they may drop into the dreaded zone.
From the statistics it seems like Liverpool have a sure win against the Londoners, but football is a game that cannot be weighed on statistics only. History has proven that the unexpected can take place one too many times, specially when its least expected.
The game should be worth a watch, since both teams have their own cause to fight for. Who finally breaks the trends, we will not know till the game day.
