The Ritz, whats it like?

Has anyone every had afternoon tea in the Ritz? I only ask as my better halfs parents are taking us there before we go to the theatre and Im more of a burger and a beer kind of guy.

  1. Cucumber sandwiches [they cut the skin off the things] and a cup of tea, £35.  Hope they are paying, its a good experience.

  4. It is lovely. I went with my mum, sister and daughter as a special treat for my mums 70th birthday. The food is dainty but there is as much of it as you want so you will not go hungry! It is such a special thing to do that I am sure you will enjoy it. The surroundings are beautiful and it makes you feel special. I would highly recommend it to anyone from any walk of life.

  6. Don't go dressed as a beer and burger guy you'll feel out of place,unless you don't care.

    If you do care, enjoy it, it's a lovely experience

  7. it is very posh and very plush,with plenty of posh nosh and a touch of the earl greys plenty of tea,if you like that kind of drink,still what ever you think of it you*ll find it an expensive experience

  9. Its nice .. a bit old but still nice  , ( Try the Sea Bass with fennel )The Mandarin Oriental is a lot nicer ( opposite Newport street station ) or is it Portland street.. ? sorry cant remember..
