  1. Its a good resort.  Same as any other Riu Palace property in Cancun/Riviera Maya/PVR, its close to town, not really walkable, but the is a public bus-stop in front of the resort or you can take a cab.

Just don't expect to go in the ocean.  The beach is unswimmable there.

  2. Hola!  Your travel agent is right.  It is one of the best places to stay in Cabo.  For a variety of reasons.  First, it is very close to the action/party beach (medano)  lots of fun things to do all day there.  Second, its walkable to downtown for shopping, nightclubbing, sightseeing, walking the marina, etc.  Thirdly, its very very nice.  Have you checked out their website?  Nice rooms, great food, lovely pools, great beach in front.  Its like being on a cruise ship on dry land!

I have been through many times and have had lots of clients stay....all rave.  There are equally nice places, but they are all 10-20 minutes out of town and most people find that inconvenient.

The Riu Palace is the perfect place for a first timer in Cabo!
