The Rock to star as Hercules being directed by Brett Ratner – WWE News
The Rock will supposedly fill in the role of Hercules in Brett Ratner’s Hercules, based on the novel Hercules: The Thracian War by Steve Moore. Brett Ratner recently signed the contract to direct the movie and he is eyeing Dwayne Johnson to play Hercules.
It seems like ‘the people’s champion’ now has the chance to make use of his muscular physique.
The plot of the story is quite different from what other Hercules stories are about. This one shows Hercules as a mercenary who fights against the same gods he once used to obey in order to avenge the loss of his family. His character is more aggressive
and violent than we usually have seen in other takes of Hercules. The story revolves a group of violent warriors, which is hired by King of Thrace to train his army. Hercules is a part of this gang throughout the plot.
No updates or comments have been made as to whether The Rock will be finalised for the role or not. However, considering the fact that no other men in Hollywood is as muscular and huge as Johnson, one can easily say that he is best fit for Hercules. We saw
Dwayne in The Scorpion King playing an ancient warrior, and he did an excellent job with it. Keeping the Scorpion King’s role in mind, we can easily say that Johnson is the perfect person to play Hercules, only if he is finalised for the role.
