The Romford Pele expected to be dominant in Setsquare Recruitment Novices´ Hurdle
The Romford Pele has got a very good chance of winning his first race over hurdles, by claiming the Setsquare Recruitment Novices´ Hurdle at Taunton in England on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He is a highly talented runner and will not make life easy for
his opponents in the class-3 encounter.
A total of 11 stallions have been attracted for the 2 mile 1 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 14:40 GMT. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of £5,198, thus everyone will be putting a lot of effort in the end.
Luckily, the weather conditions have been good at Taunton, which will give a great chance to the spectators to witness a thrilling competition. The organisers have described the going as good and they will be hoping that nothing changes before the start
of action today.
Most of the runners taking part in the race are inexperienced and they will be under immense pressure at the moment. Some of them have never participated in hurdles, thus it will be hard for them to make an impression.
However, someone like Roberto Pegasus could prove to be the dark horse at the end of the day, as he is loaded with a lot of talent. He has done well since making debut in the sport, but has only appeared in one race in this format.
His performance in it was not a special one, but he ended up fourth overall. This was still not bad for someone, who was new to this kind of racing. Therefore, the punters will look to risk a few bets on him.
On the other hand, The Romford Pele will be a tough nut to crack in the race, as he has been competitive in this format recently. He has appeared in a couple of races over hurdles and finished as a runner up in both of them. He will look to make an improvement
this time around in order to get the attention of everyone in the future events.
The Rebecca Curtis’ trainee will be partnered by veteran jockey, A. P. McCoy, who is definitely one of the best in the business and knows how to tackle pressure at this level.
