  1. But then we'd have nothing to read about in the women's mags!

  2. You're not the only one who thinks there a bunch of inbred freaks I'm British and hate the fact that these German money grubbing shites are robbing the public blind. Firing squad for all of them PLEASE! Jo x

  3. This coming from descendants of prisoners! Shame on you! Embrace your history.

  4. not going to happen.

    bananna republic? no way?

Did you bother to pole what other Australian's think?  You protest maybe as short as that it Eureka.

the Westminster system of justice is based on a system of statue which allows you to apply to the high court of england should you not agree with the high court in Australia.  What system of justice do you suggest?

Every act of parliament has to achieve royal accent, what are you going to do in the meantime, to pay centrelink benefits collect tax, trade with other countries etc.

Remove these and you remove the most important function of the Australian constitution.  Section 80 which guarantees every Australian the right to a fair trial.  Maybe you could get Robert nugamby to run Australia, cause thats what's going to happen.

  5. Come on you don't mean that Wayne they are such fine example for us to follow.

I read an article once that was titled "Isn't it a pity the only one of the Queens children to have any balls is Princess Anne" which is very true.

Saying that though I do admire the Queen and I think she has done the best job she can in the circumstances and as they say you can pick your friends but not your family.

  6. Wayne this isn't a serious question is it. surely you know like last time we have to have a referendum which won't happen until labor take control.

bit harsh what wrong with the queen.

ps you don't like the doggies do you.

  7. You will never have  a republic, how dare you even suggest it, you should know your place. I am honoured to call myself a subject of Her Majesty as are millions of others from Canada to New Zealand. You don't have the right to sever your ties with the crown of Great Britain. It was us the found your continent, settled it, and built your towns and cities, and the railways across the country, and gave you a multitude of other benefits, you need to start showing due respect and pay homage to our Sovreign. If Britain hadnt invested so heavily in Australia, there would be no Australia to even have this debate about, think on that before you harp on endlesly about severing ties, it insults your intelligence.

  8. As an Australian I dis-associate myself from this question .. long live the Monarchy - it prevents us from falling in to the hands of Murdoch and his spawn

  9. I'm an Aussie too....and if you can give me one example of a head of State who would be an ornament to our country, to never put a foot out of line, please enlighten me as to who this person would be. Considering our recent lot of Governors General (who could be regarded as something akin to Head of State) and see that they have usually been political appointments, "jobs for the boys", and in one example, a churchman who supported paedophilia, I'm sorry but I can't see anyone who I'd support.

Telling the Monarchy to "jam it" is your prerogative. But please come up with a viable and realistic alternative? George Bush and Robert Mugabe come to mind ......they are leaders of republics.....fancy one of them to lead Australia ?

  10. You need to declare your independence, and then be prepared to fight for it if they attack. Otherwise, don't fight - just refuse to participate (pay taxes, obey their laws, etc.) and establish your own government. It will only work if you have enough like-minded people to help make a difference.

  11. This, from a man living in a country populated by the descendents of the dregs of society that UK sent as far away as possible. By the way, the Monarchy do not "run" the country. That is done by a democratically elected government.

Don't get me wrong, I love Australia but, thankfully, the Australians I have met have all been intelligent people, until you!

  12. Have a revolution like America did.
