The Sadler trained Switch back for more in the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar
After making a grand comeback in the Grade 2 A Gleam Handicap, the John Sadler trained, Switch is back for more in the Grade 1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar on 4th August, 2012, which covers a distance of 1 1/16 miles.
With her victory over, Sugarinthemorning, in the A Gleam, the five-year-old mare has earned herself a spot in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint at Santa Anita, an all expense paid trip without the entry fees.
If the older division mare manages to claim this race, she will qualify for the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic.
Teamed with jockey Martin Garcia, the C R K Stable owned runner will race with weights of 119 pounds. Winning this race will not be an easy task, as seven other runners are hungry for a spot in the Breeders’ Cup and will try their best to trump the
race.
The daughter of Quiet American, out of mare Antoniette, landed a victory over 1 1/16 miles distance on 6th June, 2010, when she competed and won the Grade 2 Hollywood Oaks.

The Kentucky bred mare will compete in the Grade 1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes for the second time. Last year she competed under the command of jockey, Joel Rosario.

She lost the victory to, Ultra Blend, who finished first, edging past Zazu in second, while Switch in third.
Despite the fact that, Switch faced a few setbacks over the course of her career, her overall record is quite impressive with 6-7-4 out of 21 starts and earnings worth $1,362,562.
Her great comeback broke her losing streak of eight races and, restored her connections’ confidence in her ability to win.

She ran a few grade 1 races when she competed in the Santa Margarita, the Apple Blossom Handicap and the Vanity Handicap. Even though she didn’t win, the experience counts for something.
The mare, whose hidden potential is coming out, will compete against the Chilean bred Amani, Include Me Out and Star Billing.
