Question:

The Saints after one shocker.....?

Dear posters: there seems to be a lot of media bagging of St Kilda after Friday's match. What do we think? Is St Kilda full of its own publicity or is it the excellent team that have played until last week?

BTW another shocker on Friday night was the usually consistent and clever Bulldog Brad Johnson, who played like a mutt, but nobody seems to have bagged him.

Surely everyone's entitled to one bad game before the knives come out?

  1. The thing is, the media have been talking the saints up for a few years, they have a g8 midfield, , the backline is underatted, the forward line is over rated imo. Nick the sook is the most overratted player i believe, i have said this b4, but he continually falls over at contest and misses crucial goals, every one gets into richo, but this guy looks a better athlete so they dont get into him, i would like to see the averages for goal kickers, richo could be much better, but so could riewoldt, fevola from 30 out, rocca too,  fraser is a g8 kick, lloyd most of the time.

johnno did have a shocker, in fact thats two in a row for him.i bagged him coz i have him in my dream team lol.

st kilda are good but not flag contenders in my opinion.

  2. They came up against a team that's flying at the moment, I don't think the Doggies are getting any credit.

  3. st.kilda is the most overrated team in history, bar none

  4. yeah i think they are making to much of it

  5. Yep, they are.

Haven't you realized by now - win the pre-season NAB cup & you lose all chances of winning the big one at the end of the season.

Robert Walls, in his column, has worked that out already.

  6. The Saints are getting way too much publicity atm - you wouldnt even know that the Bulldogs won!!

But I agree, every team is entitled to a shocker - hopefully Collingwood dont have one this week!
