The Samsung SGH-A707 when speaking on speaker?

I have the Samsung SGH-A707 and when I speak on speaker I can't close the phone because it hangs up. With most phones, when they are on speaker you can close the phone and you could still talk, and to end the conversation you have to press the red end button. Does anyone know how I can do this with my phone? Thank you!

on all phones you close the phone it kills the conversation. you need to keep it open because your talking piece doesn't change when your on speaker of not. Its at the bottom of the phone lol. You shut the phone you should lose your conversation because no one could hear you.

you can't. not all phones will do the speakerphone thing while closed. my old LG phones wouldn't. but my newer alias does. my dad's old samsung doesn't allow it, though. it just depends on how old the phone is
