You saw a pair of jeans for a $97. Since you didn't have any money you borrowed $50 from your mom and $50 from your dad. So you have $100, since the jeans are only $97 you have a change of $3. You gave back $1 to your mom and another $1 to your dad. So you owe both your parents $49.

Here's the question.

$49 $49 = $98 $1 change for you = $99

shouldn't it be $100? Where's the $1?

Does anyone know the answer? he he.

  1. 49+49=98 = The amount you /owe/ overall after buying

    $97 jeans + $1 that you kept = 98.

That's not the same as the total amount in purchase, which is

    97 (jeans) + 2 (parents) + 1 (you) = 100

  2. its in my pocket

    taxes thats what

    the cashier stole it

ok seriously give me the answer
