The Simpsons not going to be around for much longer?

I mean, I know they've declined fan-wise over the years but now they've really declined ratings-wise. Look at the last few episodes of season 19. Very low ratings for each of them. Even the SEASON FINALE!

I would think that a season finale would garner more attention, but.....it ended up being one of the least watched Simpson episodes in history. That's scary. It's really saying a lot too. Does anyone else think this show won't be around for much longer? That's what I'm betting.

I hope they stay around, because the show is a legend. It was around before I was born and my parents always watched it since I was a baby so I have kind of grown up with it. I am kind of worried though, because Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer and a bunch of other characters) is getting old and might not be able to work that much longer, and Homer's voice is one of his trademarks, so unless they find someone else that can do his exact voice, I am sure The Simpsons will last for generations.

They should have let the Simpsons die a long long time ago.Its just not funny anymore. The plots are completely unrealistic and rely on celebrities now as opposed to their own writing. I still watch old episodes of the simpsons and laugh my **** off, but the new ones are terrible.

Futurama was also a lot better than the Simpsons and got cancelled. Though none of them compare to the king of cartoons that is South Park.

Well... always follow the money.

The Simpsons Movie made over $500 Million Worldwide.  So I'm gonna "guess" they'll be around for a while longer and then make another movie.

I watch all my simpsons episodes at like 6:00PM, I never tuned in for an episode that was new, but I think they will keep the show around just to say that they have a show that has been on 2 decades!
