The Sims 2? Does it get boring?

I am thinking about getting The sims 2 for PC but I wonder whether it is just a game I will play for a week and then never touch again! I hope you give advice to prove me wrong because I really think its a good game.

It depends on the expansion packs you get with it. I have all of them and me and my sister love it to pieces. There's always something to do, lots of cheats, you can raise your sims into a legacy, send them to Uni, if you have the expansion pack, play in the snow with seasons pack, go downtown on a date with nightlife, and on Aug 26 your sims can live in apartments and CAST MAGIC with apartment life pack.

But ya, get it, and you will not be sorry, Just buy the base game first, and then load the expansion/stuff packs. Hope this helped.

The sims 2 is a good game because you can get creative with it. If  you buy more extension packs then the more fun you will have. I have the sims 2. The good thing about the game is that your sim will grow over the game play. You have the power to control the outcome or path... failure or success. Good thing sims 3 will be coming out next year of 2009.

Well...EVERY game gets boring to be honest. It's just a matter of time. But is it a game you'll just play for a week? Umm, nobody can really answer that. If you liked the other Sims games I'd say get it.

it'll get boring eventually if you stick with one family for too long, so try to go from family to family to make the game more enjoyable.

Edit: You should wait and get Sims 3.
