The Sims Help.. please

Question

My friend just give me The Sims Deluxe Edition because he Cuzzin give her it but she already has it. She said it worked fine. I inserted Disk 1 and nothing has happened. Iv'e tried opening My Computer and clicking Run and Autoplay but again, nothing has happened. What could be wrong with it?

I don't think it's my computer because I have all the Sims 2 expansion packs and stuff packs and they all work fine.

Any ideas? Thanks alot :)

maybe your cd drive is screwed, check by putting something else in. also try cleaning the disk

try running it go to Start-> Run

Then hit browse and find the autoplay. if that dosn't work then check if the disk is a DVD and if your Disk drive can play DVD's.

You could try putting the disc into the computer and double click the file "my computer". Then, under "devices with removable storage" should show a sims disc icon. double click that - it should automatically start running.

if that still doesnt work, maybe your disc is scratched up or dusty. Try rubbing it with a soft cloth and try again.
