The Spanish Team Picture "Controversy"?

Who else thinks this is getting overblown?, It's the same c**p always sensitive whiners complaining about an innocent joke.

What pisses me off the most is this statement Jason Kidd said

Double standard?, is that a joke what would happen if a U.S. player would have said that. There is no doubt in my mind the same thing that always happens apologies all around, then a major debate of whether they were right or wrong and how Americans are having their freedom of expression being taken away.

I have a much better question I wonder what would have happened if this was done 60 years ago?, were racism wasn't take for granted the way it is now.

I lived for ten years in Latin America, and this kind of gesture IS intended to make fun of asian people. No questions about it.

You really need to feel it on the skin to understand the extend of it.

I think it was ridiculous on the Spanish team's part.  They had to know that it would cause a problem.  Plus, they are playing in an Asian country for the Olympics.  Did they really think slant eyes jokes would go over well?

I'm Asian. Didn't offend me. Made me laugh really hard. Yeah, I do agree that people are exaggerating.

Just to say I liked what J Kidd said because he had legit points and a good case, however I do think it has been overblown way out of control. You gotta remember though that these are grown FREAKIN men not children they had to know what they were doing was going to offend people and cause contoversy......they had to of. And what Gasol said was just c**p I mean the guy used the excuse "PEER PPRESSURE" give me a brake. They were acting like children when they needed to be professional. I do think this was inappropriate but not racist or all that overblown stuff the media is trying to say!

It would've been overblown if they were painted in black face, eating fried chicken in a watermelon patch. that's offensive.
