What would the Sphinx sound like? Would it have a woman's voice? Would it be an older voice or a younger voice? A wise voice or an acerbic voice? Etc...

  1. The Sphinx,after observing the erratic and often murderous behavior of human beings for 12,500 years,has been stunned into silence and has lost forever the power of speech.So we will never know what the Sphinx would sound like.


  2. Voice projected by most organisms are interdependant on their vocal chords. They are the ones that define the sounds produced. The likelihood of a Sphinx sounding like a human's is highly unlikely, since the structural engineering of each organism's vocal chords are close to unique. Most humans have voices differ to each other, so what are the odds of a Sphinx sounding like a human?

    Well, to be frank this is not an answer a professor like me is supposed to ask. Hopefully I have got you thinking in a somewhat scientifically logical manner.
