there is NO RESTRICTION for Religion in the government. The ONLY separation spoken about in the US Constitution is the ban on Government in Religion. As a matter of fact, it was assumed that all government would be run by CHRISTIANS. Otherwise, the government as well as all institutions would necessarily become CORRUPT. This was stated early on by Martin Luther coming out of the Dark Ages.

  1. You need to go back and study the First Amendment again.

    The idea was that government and religion would not become intangled, especially to the extent where it interfered with people's abilities to practice what they believe.  The idea was NOT that Christians would occupy all of the spaces in the government.  As to corruption, the three co-equal branches were an attempt to prevent corruption.
