Question

Does anybody out there have any information on Top Gears "Stig"?

Who is he?

Is he really such an amazing driver as hes made out to be in the show?!

Some say to unlock him, you must run your finger down his face.

I'm not going to list all the possibilities. Mainly because I can't remember them all.

I think it's James May thats why his driving stinks on all the tasks, he's hiding his true skills. After all he can't really be as bad as he seems can he?

the first stig, who wore the black suit, was perry mc carthy, an ex formula 1 driver who was sacked from the show for revealing that fact in his autobiography (flat out, flat broke).

his replacement (in the white suit) is ben collins, who has raced in ascar, nascar, touring car and currently (as far as i know) raced for ascari.

the accident report into hammonds high speed crash states that collins worked closely with the top gear team as a high performance driver and consultant.

collins also appeared on the show several times out of the jumpsuit, racing a teenager down a hill, catching a parachutist in a convertible, and playing car football in toyota aygo's...he also took part in an endurance race with citroen 2 cv's with hammond and last year was visible to fans at the endurance race at silverstone (where the top gear team - including his stigness- participated.

the renault f1 car was driven by  heikki kovalainen, and the skiddo jump was performed by dan lang.
