Look at their blatent refusal to play by the Rules, the grapple tackle and the coverage of Storms Brett White ripping Parras Nathan Cayliss's arm above his back, tearing hes pectoral and bicep muscle. Ruling Cayliss out of next months test match ! Ever sustain an open elbow dislocation and severed brachial artery you would want this c**p ruled out to.

  1. You are all a bunch of sooks and I guess your team didn't make the finals. They could whinge about what happened to Billy Slater in the Eels game but they're real men and real men don't whinge. What happens on the field stays on the field.       GO  THE  STORM.

P.S  You could always watch soccer.   lol

  2. Storm will choke AGAIN. Manly to win the Grand Final and be crowned champions.

  3. For God's sake get over it.No they are not the dirtiest team in the comp.Your team lost so what?? Look in your own backyard before pointing the finger.P.J.Marsh & his "Twister " tackle on Billy Slater.Piggy's oscar winning performance.Every club employs a wrestling coach even Parra. Now if all these tackles were illegal no club would be able to field a full strength team every week.If they change the rules in the off season so be it,but at the moment these techniques are deemed by the ARL to be legal. Are you trying to say your team doesn't try to put opponents on their back to slow down play.?This is Rugby League not gayfl or lawn bowls. As for playing by the rules the EELS are experts at bending them to suit their own agenda.Being well known for allegedly milking penalties at every chance & taking dives is akin to the pot calling the kettle black. Its about time you people realised its a national competition.Wether you want Melbourne there or not.........too bad they are in it to stay.  Get over it & get used to it.

  4. no that award goes to Hindmarsh and his cronies

get over it your team are good and will do better next year

  5. i think they are!! and i bet you anything if that tackle was on hindmarsh or hayne he wud have got a punishment but since it was on a kiwi nothing happend?? the week before another example thurston got nothing for dropping kooopu on his head but yet sonny billy who just done a litte late hit on thurston got a 2 week ban  but got it reduced to a 1 week ban causing him to miss out on 2nd rower of the year?? but i think the nrl judiciary may be a bit biased but thats just my opion

  6. just a fan of the greatest game on earth.

i love newcastle so you could say i am a mutual fan for both these teams.

ever since rugby league has started there has been at least one team that is considered to play dirty.

some times i think its for ratings. like there may be one dirty play or tackle then after that ,that player is watched and glarred at constantly as is the team.

the fact is if the first instant is not constantly harped at the game moves forward and nobody could even tell you who made the tackle in the first place.

rugby league is losing fans thick and fast all because of the small s@#t. fair enough if its a high tackle or the tackle put another player in danger the player who made the tackle  should be hung out to dry.

the fact is rugby league is losing its toughness someone calls somebody else a p***y and they cry and go through the media making our sport look like is played and supported by morons. instead the afl is getting the leagues fans because the fans are sick of hearing about the little s@#t that keeps arising every bloody week.not to mention the video refs call and every body on the panels interpretation. the nrl players could be payed alot more if nrl had the fans but its like they dont want them some times.

i can see how you feel like the storm is dirty but their is no rule saying you can not do this. i remember how i felt when joey had his legs dived at  being a fan its hard to watch but at the end of the day if its not banned you need to get over it.

as for the grapple i have seen this many times by the storm and they seem to flirt with it constantly but they are not the only team using it.  NRL FOREVER

  7. I am not sure that I entirely agree with placing the blame on Melbourne alone - I think alot of teams are guilty of this, and I think it seems to be getting worse - Gone are the old days when nearly any tackles goes, and the bigger the hit the more exciting the game got - I can understand that there is a need to protect the head and neck of a player but it seems like players are laying down more because they can get a penalty - However I do believe the tackle on Cayless and Hayne needs to be punished they were really low acts, and what is good for one is good for another - I would give both the tackles  1 week suspension at least with the Cayless tackle possibly 2 weeks - If they want to clean up the tackling it's time to send out a warning and that is all non-legal tackles will be punished no matter what team, time of the year or who the player is...... Oh by the way the comment about Hindmarsh's tackle that is for the NRL to decide if it's worth being on report, and I do not see him fronting any panel deciding on his playing career eg: Australian Jersey which he will no doubt ably get once again......

  8. Since when has trying to role a tackled player onto his back been a dirty act? They are slowing the play down just like every team does.

The Storm are not the dirtiest team they are just from a non-league state who are showing up a lot of losers who can't handle it. I am not a storm fan or victorian but think that people like you look stupid by saying things like this. Get over it and beat them on the field if you don't like them.

  9. Get over it if they were that bad surely the refs and the NRL would do something about it.

  10. Look I am a referee  and there is nothing wrong with the tackling technique. What happened to Cayliss was a bad accident. Melbourne have approached Mr. Robert Finch (referees' boss) and asked if there was anything wrong with the tackling style and he said no, the clubs who say Melbourne have a dangerous tackling style are the ones with the dangerous tackling technique. So it is not fair to accuse Melbourne of these tactics when every club does it without accusing them.

  11. You wash your mouth out!!!! There is no way on Earth that the Storm are the dirtiest team!! There are at least three other teams I can think of that are dirtier!

In regards to the Nathan Cayliss tackle that everyone is whinging about, what about the tackle on Billy Slater that everyone seems to have missed, which may just rule him out of the Grand Final (hopefully not)

Do you hear Melbourne pissing and moaning about that?? NO because they are bigger than that and just want to get on with doing what they love best PLAYING FOOTY!!!!!

and all this grapple tackle bullshit is just that bullshit!

I think you need to get over yourself and stop ranting over something so petty and just take the game for what it is FOOTY!

GO STORM. That premiership is ours this year, deal with it

  12. cry cry cry, you have never actually ran the football field in your life have you!

even if they had cayliss they'd still lose, get over it.

    sore loser...

    response:

    wow your a champ!

no I never played  but I made first grade mixed net ball!!

if you are telling the truth let me guess you played on the wing.

no seriously if you've played you know every time you run out you could get hurt sometimes  legally sometimes not. its a tough game. things happen

all teams use what ever they can to slow the play the ball down, Storm is no worse than any of the other teams, It  just sounds like you were a really bad loser. and didn't want to admit that parra didn't have what it takes to beat them, you can't argue that the better team didn't win.

  13. Clearly you follow another team who has had a poor season and you take it out on the outsider, the only from another land!!

Every team plays dirty every now and again, storm are not a dirty team... and the reason the eels lost is simply because the better team won!!

    GO STORM

btw as for the grapple tackle, it was clearly showed we use it a lot less than many other teams, we are just reconized for it more!

  14. The storm have been training recently with help of a NRL referee. They have asked for their tackling style to be judged and scrutinised by the referee to assist in reducing grapple tackles and therefore penalties. I don't believe the storm is the dirtiest team as I feel all teams in the competition have been employing these tactics. I don't believe it should be part of the game and that the referees need to get some consistency in penalising this next year.

  15. there not the a dirty team, there just too d**n good, that's why people brand them.A dirty team would not make it to a NRL grand final.Lets not forget that this is the NRL,,not lawn bowls.

  16. they r dirty dogs! i dont know why they just dont use there talent. its pretty obvious that there tackling technique is wrong 4 football but not 4 the ufc, thats why they hav a blackbelt BJJ instructor 2 teach them 2 grapple, its a thug act. they love 2 slow the play down cause they know they will get burned by alot of teams.the parra game isnt the only time that the storm hav been guilty off dirty tackling. the things that really pees me off is that the nrl lets them get away with it. look at footage of games over the years & u will never see c**p like the storm grapple its just good old tackling, players up top & a player wraps up the legs, its not hard. i just hope the nrl takes serious action against this thug act.cayless's career could hav been ova cause of that dirty tackle, there was no need 2 rip his arm back like that he was already tackled on his back. there is know doubt that the storm r a very good football team, 1 of the best in years but i think that the nrl hav 2 step in & take action that goes 4 any other club that wants 2 grapple.
